Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the boarding and residential recall training services provided by The Sighthound Guy, the trading name of K9 Exclusive Walks Ltd, and purchases made through this website, including online courses and ask answer credit packs. By booking or buying with us you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully and ask us if anything is unclear.
About us
The Sighthound Guy provides specialist home boarding and residential recall training for sighthounds only, including greyhounds, whippets, lurchers, salukis, deerhounds and their crosses. We operate from a climate-controlled home in NW London, serving sighthound owners across the whole of London, with a 350ft secure private garden and daily exercise on Hampstead Heath. Collection and drop-off cover Hampstead, North Finchley and Highgate.
We hold a 5-star home boarding licence, no. 2023-2989, and are licensed for eight dogs. Don Jordan is Canine First Aid certified, and the business is fully insured and bonded.
Bookings and assessment
Every new dog begins with a meet and greet followed by a one-night assessment, so we can be sure your hound is comfortable and that our home is the right fit. A booking is confirmed once the assessment is complete and the dates are agreed.
Boarding is £85 per night, with raw food, daily walks and daily WhatsApp photo and video updates included. The minimum boarding stay is 24 hours. Boarding clients can add daycare at £70 per day, for example when a booking runs on into the daytime (an am to pm stay).
Residential Recall training is a separate, intensive programme: a seven-night-minimum residential from £850 that combines boarding with recall training. Raw food and daily updates are included, and you go home with a clear plan to keep the training going.
Your dog’s care and your responsibilities
You confirm that your dog is in good health, is up to date with vaccinations and flea and worm treatment, and has no history of aggression that you have not disclosed. You must tell us about any medical condition, medication, dietary need or behavioural issue before the stay begins.
We will care for your dog as if it were our own. You will receive daily WhatsApp photo and video updates throughout the stay. If your dog becomes unwell, we will seek veterinary attention and contact you as soon as we can. You agree to meet any reasonable veterinary costs incurred in your dog’s interest.
Cancellations and refunds
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or move a booking, please tell us as early as possible, and we will always try to be fair.
Boarding and residential recall training bookings follow the 72-hour rule: cancel at least 72 hours before the start of the booking for a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours of the start may be subject to a fee, as the dates will have been held for your dog.
All other purchases, including online courses and ask answer credit packs, follow the 5-day rule: refunds are offered at our sole discretion and only within the first five days of purchase. For ask answer credit packs, only unused credits are refundable; once a credit has been spent on an answer it cannot be refunded, so any refund covers the unused remainder of the pack. Credits never expire.
Where a refund is agreed, the following apply:
- We will ask you to raise any concern with us first so we have a chance to put it right.
- The issue must not be caused by a third-party product or service.
- Refunds are processed back to your original payment method and typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear.
To cancel or request a refund, sign in and use the request tool on our Cancellations & Refunds page. Your request is reviewed automatically against this policy the moment you submit it: if it cannot be accepted you are told exactly why straight away, and if it is accepted it goes to us to process the refund through Stripe, or to add credit to your account instead where you prefer. Every request and outcome is logged.
