Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can access, update, export or delete it. The Sighthound Guy is the trading name of K9 Exclusive Walks Ltd, and we are the data controller for the information described here.

Delivering a great experience for owners and their dogs is one of our core values, and protecting your privacy is part of that. By using this website you agree to the collection and use of information as set out below. We may update this policy from time to time, so please check back occasionally. Continued use of the site means you accept any changes.

Information you give us

We collect information when you choose to give it to us, for example when you fill in a form, request a quote, arrange a meet and greet, book boarding or recall training, sign up to hear from us, or otherwise get in touch.

This may include your name, address, email address, telephone number and, where relevant, details about your dog and your payment information. We ask for this so we can answer your enquiry, set up your care plan and complete your booking.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the site we may use cookies and similar technologies to collect basic information about how the site is used. Some of these are set by us and some by third parties. For full detail, please see our Cookie Policy.

Website chat assistant

Our website offers an AI chat assistant so you can ask questions about boarding, recall training and meet and greets, and leave an enquiry. When you use it, the messages you type are processed by a specialist third-party AI provider (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) so the assistant can understand you and reply. Please only share what you are comfortable sharing in a chat; if you ask us to get in touch, we will collect the name and contact details you provide.

We may keep a record of these conversations so we can review enquiries and follow up properly. Conversations are stored for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically, and we do not store your IP address or location alongside them. You can ask us to delete a conversation sooner at any time, using the contact details below.

How we use your information

We use the information we hold to:

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as payment and IT providers, and only so they can carry out that work for us.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, in connection with fraud prevention or a legal request, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect The Sighthound Guy, our clients or the public. Any statistics we share with third parties are aggregated so they do not identify you.

Storing your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Where information is processed or stored outside the UK or European Economic Area, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to the standard described in this policy.

Your choices and rights

You have the right, subject to certain exemptions, to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct anything that is inaccurate, and to ask us to update or delete your information. We will always try to help, though we may need to keep some information to meet our legal obligations or resolve a dispute.

If you no longer wish to receive marketing from us, you can use the unsubscribe link in any email or simply reply and ask to be removed. To make any data request, please contact us and tell us clearly what you would like us to do, so we can respond properly.

Keeping your information secure

We use reasonable security measures, including access controls and network monitoring, to protect the information you share with us. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to safeguard your data we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 16 has given us their information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Other websites

Our site may link to other websites for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so we encourage you to read their own policies before sharing any information with them.

Questions

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please get in touch. We may need a few details from you so we can answer properly, and we will be in touch if we need anything further.
