The Sighthound Guy · Mass Sighthound Walk

The walk has moved

Now at Fryent Country Park, Wembley NW9

A quick but important update about the walk on Sunday 27 September.

We are no longer at Regent’s Park. The Royal Parks let us down at the last minute with the licence approval, so we are now meeting at Fryent Country Park in Wembley. Sorry for the change of plan.

Same day, same time, still free, and your place is safe. There is nothing you need to do unless the new venue does not work for you.

The route

Route map: two loops from the car park off Fryent Way. Loop 1 in red climbs Barn Hill to the summit pond. Loop 2 in yellow goes through the meadows to the north-west corner. Both return to the car park.
Tap the map to open it full size.

Two loops, about 2.9 km in all, with a water break back at the car park in between. Loop 1 climbs Barn Hill to the summit pond for a group photo. Loop 2 is a gentler walk through the meadows. No road crossings.

I am walking the route beforehand and will share a recording of it, and on the morning I will share my live location so you can find us.

Nearest stations

Please bring

Water and a bowlMore than you think you need. This is the one thing people forget.
  • Your hound on a collar with a dog tag and a normal lead. No long lines, no extending leads.
  • Poo bags, and a muzzle if your hound wears one.
  • Everyone stays on lead for the whole walk.
